Practice Business Manager Vacancy – (must have 3 years’ experience)

4 days a week – 8am-5.30pm. (salary depending on experience)

We have a vacancy for a Full-time Practice Business Manager:

We are a friendly, high achieving practice with a mixed population demographic of 10,000 patients. We use EMIS & Docman software. We pride ourselves on being predominantly patient focused with a high standard of care.  The post is a pivotal role within the practice which would suit an experienced NHS Practice Manager, however we shall be open to all application with transferable skills. We have a very supportive partnership and clinical team.

Main duties of the job Assist with day-to-day operations, including: managing staff, overseeing patient services and maintaining practice standards. Support in the recruitment, training, and development of practice staff. Monitor and improve quality performance metrics, including patient satisfaction and service delivery targets.

Handle patient complaints and feedback, ensuring a responsive and caring approach to problem-solving.

To summarise the role, we have listed some of the aspects involved in leading the team.

  • To be involved in service provision and financial planning.
  • Handling financial systems
  • Management of Human Resources
  • Liaising with local health organisations such as Integrated Care Boards (ICBs)Primary Care (PCNs) Primary Care Networks
  • Developing strategies for the practice on issues such as computer systems and security, expanding or changing services, and long-term services

Skills and Educational standard required:

  • Degree level of education preferrable
  • Ability to manage a changing environment.
  • Excellent communication/ HR and IT skills
  • Leadership and Motivational skills
  • Honesty and fairness when dealing with other people
  • A commitment to quality
