New Appointment system – Total triage

Dear Patient,

We are delighted to inform you that from the week commencing of 6th November 2024 we will be changing the way we offer appointments. We will be moving to an online ‘TOTAL TRIAGE’ system where our clinicians will triage all appointment requests, ensuring that you are seen by the most appropriate Clinician in a timely manner. We hope that this will help make better use of the appointments we have available.

We will be asking all patients to complete an online AccuRx Patient Triage form which is available on website contact us page. We will also have additional the phone system functionality that will help you to access Patient Triage form. This means when you press option 1 you will receive text message with direct link to access the form. We will then contact you with either advice or an appointment where appropriate.

The fastest way to get help from a Clinician is by submitting an online form yourself or asking a family member to do so on your behalf. You can use this form to contact us about anything you’d normally call us about.

If you are unable to do this or do not have access to the internet, then our reception team will be able to complete the form on your behalf before it is looked at by our triage clinician.

Our usual appointment time is 10 minutes. Please make one request for one person about one problem. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact us to cancel. Failure to do so means a wasted appointment that another patient could have used.

NOTE: You will also be able to make administrative and repeat prescription requests via the new system.

Further information and how to use AccuRx Patient Triage can be found by watching this YouTube video here: Patient Flash Demo: How to submit a medical request in Patient Triage (youtube.com)

Thank you
